What to Consider When Buying a Netbook Computer
Comments
Its actually a really good idea. Ubuntu is great for surfing the web which is mostly what the netbook would be used for. You could Dual boot, but I would go straight ubuntu on a netbook. You would need an external CDROM drive to install.

Putting Ubuntu onto a Netbook Computer?
So I was thinking of buying a netbook computer, just for fun. I have a good desktop computer so the netbook would just be for small tasks when I’m out. However, looking into it, I found that many of them either come with XP or Windows 7 STARTER. Lame!
So I’ve been considering putting Ubuntu onto a netbook once I buy it. But before I go and do that, is it a good idea? What would happen, would it replace the Windows or would it dual boot? And are there any problems with Ubuntu that I should know about?
