How do you know if you are soul mates?

What would you say are the ingredients for soulmates?
Do you believe in soulmates?
How do you know if you've met your soul mate?

I believe in soulmates. However, I believe that the old "if you have to question it, they aren't your soulmate" is the biggest bunch of crap. Questioning feelings concerning a relationship is perfectly healthy and natural, because it helps us rationalize and come to conclusions. Especially when it concerns someone you want to spend your life with. That's something you have to give serious consideration to.

I believe that it will dawn on you eventually that you've met your match, but maybe not for months, or even years. Just take it slowly and see how things go. You have to be friends before you can be lovers.

I think you'll know you've found your soulmate when you guys share the same life goals and if you have the same interests. I think it's especially important that you and your partner agree on the big things: money, children, religion, politics, etc.

I also think soulmates compliment each other. For example, one person could be introverted, and the other could be more outgoing. Also, if the soulmate feeling is one sided, then the person isn't your soulmate, because if they were, both people would believe they were soulmates.
