Help please people!!!!!!!!!!!!?
I am in the same situation-is been going on for years and I still fear about HIV transmission. I had 5-6 tests and all came negative (thank god) but something new happens and I am worry again. Is more or less contact with people- shaking hands, needles, people touching me (like in a crowded place), etc etc. I imagine every possible way…I am so scared at times- I am really scared of something happening without me being aware of. The other day I Shake someone hand and I had a cut in my hand, the guy didn’t look very healthy and yet I Shoke his hand..why did I do that? then I realised how stupid I am to think that I got HIV from a contact (non sexual). Now my mind is playing games with me. I am in my teens – I didnt have to worry about the things I used to worry in the past (contracting the disease via sexual contact). but now my mind is saying you can have it any other way.. I am totally losing my mind now. I am so losing it.
This is a horrible condition,is causing me to have depression and anxiety. If I didn’t have this I am sure my life will be different, I will def enjoy life more.
I am so sad, if only I could talk to someone who will understand me ![]()
Hi,
I am sorry your in such a distressed state. I do think you need to get help because your suffering from anxiety, a phobia and maybe some form of OCD or obessiveness. There is probably some reason you feel this way particularly about HIV and I think uou need help and maybe some education on HIV and the likeihood of contracting it etc. You need some support though counselling or therapy to try and reduce your anxiety as it seems this is disturbing your day to day encounters with people and you must feel your life is very scary…try to remember that if you fear asking for help…remember how scary it is anyway and remind yourself that getting help may actually make things better.
go to your GP or look online for counselling in your area.
best of luck

I think you should talk to a professional
They’ll have better answers than people on here… unless someone’s been in a similar situation.
Sounds like some kind of OCD to me
Hope it all gets better soon

I presume you knew someone who passed away due to AIDS….
I would say don’t worry, but I’m sure you’ve heard that before.
I think that your best bet is to see a doctor who will hopefully prescribe you something. You are an overactive worrier! Nothing that you can do to change that except yoga or any self taught relaxing techniques. And medicine of course.
I’d start first with seeing a doctor and then inform myself about yoga classes in my area.
Hope this helps.

I understand u hun, I was exactly the same as you, but i constantly thought i had cancer. U more than likely have OCD, , which i now know i have, I take medication for it which helps alot but u also need to change your way i thinking. As anyone told u that u have HIV….. no !!!! so u tell yourself ok i have endless tests all which came back negative, so i do not have HIV, Take little steps like…… today i am going to go and do what i enjoy and i will not allow myself to think about HIV for the time im out enjoying myself. . Every time that thought comes into your head tell yourself no you are not beating me, i dont have HIV. It takes time and determination but u can get there honest .Good luck to you x

You’re obsessing over contracting HIV so much that it’s ruining your life. As yourself this – do you deserve to be so worried and anxious about it all the time? No! You’re giving it way more thought than it deserves. I think you might benefit from counselling. If you’re really fed up of feeling so worried about it all the time, but don’t feel that you can get over it on your own, see your GP or get a private therapist.
Good luck ![]()
