No, I do not believe in them. I believe that God created each person for eternity. We live here on earth for a period of time. Then we die in our flesh (our body), but our spirit lives on for eternity. The question is where are we going to live for eternity?

My opinion is there is no such thing as past lives. If you believe in God then that would be inconceivable.

I believe your story is very good. It shows you are very well aware of detail; a good point to keep ones attention when being read. Good luck but don"t forget to proof read before handing it in, as you have some punctuation errors and your paragraphing need to be rechecked as well. I do see great promise in you.

Just my own thought, as I too enjoy writing and reading and I am a fanatic when it comes to rereading your work to check for any errors before it goes out for anyone else to read.

He could join a running club or at least sign up for a race.

If you go to any local running store, you will find dedicated runners, runners looking for running partners and local clubs. Once he’s involved, he could consider increasing his commitment or just enjoying it for what it is. Most races attract a lot of other race organizers, volunteer groups, running organizations and companies selling running equipment. He’ll either find some friends there and pursue it or he won’t; you can’t make him do it.

Not sure what to do with "needs direction in life". But that’s not the part about running, so I will leave it unanswered.
