Can someone describe to me what soul mates and kindred souls or spirits are?

Is there a difference? Do you know when you have met them? Can you have more than one?

Soul mates are romantically inclined, that special person whose perfect for you, while kindred spirits are people who share similar views and thought processes as you. I would highly advise against having more than one soul mate because this could cause a lot of problems. However, there shouldn’t be a problem with having more then one kindred spirit, the problem is actually meeting them.
