Are twin flames and soul mates the same?

I have some knowledge about twin flames and soul mates but not enough to be satisfied . Can someone throw alittle more light on the subject, please. And some recommended reading would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, from my experience and research over the last four years i reckon that you can have a few soulmates but only 1 twin flame.
I’m pretty sure I know who my twin flame is just by the amount of clues that led to the meeting of this person that go beyond coincidence.
A good book to read regarding soulmates is "journey of the soul"
by michael newton.
He is a past life regression expert and reckons that most of your life is down to free will but you are destined to meet certain people in your life but how you act on the meeting is down to you but there will be what he calls "flags" and "triggers" to help you to recognize these key people.
I recently bought a twin flame book off amazon by patricia jowdry but i actually found more info from google than her book.
