What does this dream about Jungian dream interpretation mean?
I had a dream where I was I was being analyzed by Carl Jung about the archetypes that appeared in it. However, as the anima, animus, and shadow appeared in the forms of a nurturing Sigmund Freud wearing a dress, a more masculine Sigmund Freud with a knife sticking out of his chest, and a toddler that appeared to share the physical traits of both Jung and Freud, I think it was his subconscious I was viewing rather than my own. Does this have any meaning, or should I just avoid mixing beer and psychology homework before bed? The old drink and shrink as I call it.
I guess beer and coherent sentences do not mix either. In the top line where typed the word, "About" I meant to type "But"

Do you believe in Past Lives and Reincarnation?
I'm just wondering how many people out there believe in the possibility of Past Lives and Reincarnation. And if you do believe then why?
The concept of past lives is an absolute truth. But the past lives belong to our soul atman and not to the human being… the present self… the physical manifested self! It is our soul atman… the spirit within on its cosmic journey of 8.4 million manifestations… an earthly life cycle of 96.4 million years. It is not within the capacity of a human body to manifest a soul atman!
Ever since souls' atmans separated from their source, God Almighty himself… they desire regaining their original pure primordial pristine form! As one KG of pure gold in a lump of hundred KG of gold ore cannot separate itself of its own… the soul atman also requires a chain of 8.4 million bodies… to work out its karma… remove the dross impurities within!
The complete cycle of 8.4 million manifestations by the soul atman necessitates a maximum of 96.4 million earthly years. The entire span of 96.4 million earthly years is one life span for the soul atman. Amongst 8.4 million manifestations 1.1 million manifestations are in the human form. During this period human beings are expected to reach the stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha).
The moment human beings reached the stage of enlightenment… it announces the end of the journey for the soul atman… the spirit within! The liberated soul atman having regained its original lost pure primordial pristine form… enters the abode of God… the kingdom of God (aka Baikuntha in Hinduism)… a point of no return!
Our present human form is limited to one span of life… the present earthly sojourn of 70 to 80 years! As the past life belongs to our soul atman, the fruits of karma performed by us in the present human form… also belong to our soul atman. The form of human beings is simply a means to an end. We need to work… perform karma for the sake of our soul atman!
Human beings feel agony that nothing belongs to us… the human form! But what after the death of the body! Based on the residual balance of karma of one manifestation… the soul atman moves ahead in life… body of the body… manifestation after manifestation! Truthfully speaking… we are a spiritual consciousness… a spiritual being manifesting a human body!
We are not supposed to remember the past. Why? What if we come to know our best friend in present life was the cause of our death in last manifestation? As per the karmic crux of life… our best friend was born into the same fold to even out the karma in present life. Who knows what awaits us in future life!
The theory of reincarnation as put by religious masters, spiritual gurus and various dictionaries and encyclopedias is totally flawed. The concept of reincarnation… rebirth does not exist in the Cosmos. Reincarnation has been defined as the rebirth of soul atman in a new body. When our soul atman… the spirit within is indestructible… it neither takes birth nor dies… how can it reincarnate?
Our soul atman… the spirit within simply manifests body one after another. After the death of the physical body… the soul atman manifests a new form… a new body! When a student of class one enters class two… one gets a new blazer… a new coat! The student being the same… only the blazer changed… similarly our soul atman keeps changing body after body!
The changing of bodies by our soul atman… the spirit within is as simple as changing of guards at Buckingham Palace. The entire life span of 96.4 million years being one journey of life for the soul atman… the question of rebirth… reincarnation is totally ruled out! The continuity of life that exists in the life of soul atman… defies the theory of reincarnation!
The process of manifestation of bodies by our soul atman is best explained in Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism. Bhagavad Gita is one document that gives explanation to every aspect of life… be it the journey undertaken by the soul atman… or the physical manifested form! Does life with mental illness ever get easier?
I suffer from bipolar disorder I and fit almost all of the criteria of borderline personality disorder (I hate the stigma of the disorder, so I hate thinking of myself as a “borderline” … even though I probably am.) I used to also have full-blown bulimia, but it is pretty much “under control” now. I have been hospitalized five times over the past two and a half years, and have also been in an intensive outpatient program for my eating disorder. My interpersonal relationships almost always end on a sour note, usually as a result of my pushing the other person away and then regretting it and desperately wanting them back. I have made my family’s life hell and gone through a number of therapists and psychiatrists (they usually end up giving up on me … I’m not kidding.) I make poor decisions all the time. I can hardly look in the mirror when I consider some of the times I have done while manic or mixed.
Does it ever get easier?
I don't think bipolar disorder has gotten easier for me, but I have finally found some meds that help quite a bit, and I am better about apologizing to others because I recognize I was out of line (that the thing I was upset about was basically imagined by me, no offense was intended by the other person). I also keep track of my periods, and I can be sure that the 3 days before my period will be utter hell, and my husband may have to go stay somewhere else for a couple days at the very worst. Or I have it arranged with my social worker to stay at a group home for a few days, if needed. I've been hospitalized at this time many times.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy is something you should look for if you haven't already tried it. It is the most effective intervention so far for Borderline Personality Disorder, and is really helpful for bipolar too. I am too disabled to handle such an intense course, but you might do great!! For me, the county would pay for it, because they don't want to pay when folks get a 72 hour hold. You might want to get a social worker, they can often be helpful, and if you are in the hospital all the time, they can put in a good word for you and help prevent relapses. I really recommend that!!!
Also, I get social support at a local "drop in center." That is a consumer (mental patient, but an empowering term, not a derogatory one) run socialization group. Google "consumer mental illness (your state)" and see what you find. At least you get a break and can have some fun with others in similar situations.
Finally, there is CONSIDERABLE overlap between borderline and bipolar. If you are not an abuse victim, it is not very likely you have borderline (but there are lots of exceptions). Also, a feeling of emptiness, or lack of self-identity, is a major symptom. So like, I am a creative, passionate, social justice & artistic intellectual type person, and that personality has remained constant thruout my life. If you can define yourself in such a way, I bet you aren't borderline. Also, there is a neediness in borderline, you just gotta have validation from others. Kind of a waif thing. I'm a tough introvert, so that didn't fit me either. Can you tell I had that label for awhile? Often, clinicians label any self-injurious person as borderline, but bipolar can be such hell that you can't help yourself. Also, I found some meds like ativan, benadryl, ambien, nyquil, risperdal make me very aggressive towards others (usually only verbally). I get really angry easily, and can't control my behavior. Look into whether some meds are aggravating things.

Bad head ache(behind eye brow)-thought its SINUS but doctor says its because if STRESS as muscle contracts?
I have a very bad head ache from past 2 weeks (this kind of head ache is first in my life!!). Some doctors says its because of SINUS. When i went to a big hospital to get myself checked they asked me to get CRT(kind of x-ray) done. After the reports came he told that its just because of STRESS, as the muscle contracts behind eye brow i am getting bad head ache.
Anybody with same kind of head ache and please tell me the reason if you know why i am getting such kind of head ache.
Also let me know should i belive the doctor who said its beacuse of STRESS and take analgesic (pain killer) medicine?

I cud nt go into my past life in my 1 st session of past life regression Is it normal to occur?
Though my therapist seems to have good knowledge he cud nt lead me to my past life in my 1st session? Shall i give it another try or change my therapist?
Well, there's no such thing as past-life regression. It's scam perpetrated by unscrupulous "therapists" to get money from naive people, or naive therapists who believe that what their patients are spewing through the therapists' suggestions is actually coming from a past life. It will probably take many sessions to get you to "regress", because you have to pay for each session. If past-life regression were real, it would be inducible in most if not all people. However, if the patient doesn't believe in re-incarnation, past-life regression never happens. Hmmmm…… Also, as you probably know, most people end up reporting that they were well-known people from the past–so much so that dozens if not hundreds of people claim to have been a single person from the past! The evidence is clear when you realize that what these people report about what they remember from their past lives as well-known people correlates perfectly with what has been depicted in the movies and on television. But TV and movies are fiction based loosely on reality; the past-life regressions do not correllate with the actual facts of the historical persons' lives. With some scams you can do a lot of research and never really know if it's a scam; with others, you can only find out it's a scam after doing a lot of research. But with past-life regression you only have to do a tiny bit of research to find out that it's a scam. So don't be a chump–do your own research if you don't believe me, and save your money.
